Trip to Vegas

This past weekend Sarah, Ryan, Lizzie and I went to Las Vegas for the mission farewell of our good friend and former neighbor, Jordan Johnson. We caught my Uncle Bob's 91st birthday while there, and Mom decided to celebrate my birthday and my Dad's as well. It was wonderful to spend time with family and see old friends.

This is Dave with his best little buddie, Josh. Holly has been confined to bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy (which ends in December), so we have had fun with both of them at our home for the past week or so....Holly has been a trooper through this whole thing!

Middle Fork of the Salmon River Adventure

On our way to drop Lizzie off at Freshman Acadamey we decided to check one of Dave's bucket list items and went for a week-long white water river trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. It was non-stop adventure -- including our bathroom breaks. It was 100 miles and 100 rapids. We met new friends and saw some beautiful country.

While visiting this past weekend, Caden and Hailey enjoyed the fountains in our backyard...it was a good change from the snow they had last week in Utah. They're headed back today after Trevor finishes some interviews...we'll miss them.

Brooke is still coaching me and so before they leave today I wanted to learn how to do a new post....am I the most technically retarded person in the world? I'm not sure what pictures are going up, but I hope you enjoy as I learn how to post on my blog. It'll probably be more Africa and maybe some from our trips to Mexico and Utah.
