This past weekend Sarah, Ryan, Lizzie and I went to Las Vegas for the mission farewell of our good friend and former neighbor, Jordan Johnson. We caught my Uncle Bob's 91st birthday while there, and Mom decided to celebrate my birthday and my Dad's as well. It was wonderful to spend time with family and see old friends.
lol..I was wondering when that was going to happen too. I noticed a little "almost" post below this one? I'm jelouse about the Vegas trip...you guys got to visit some of my favorite people when you were there!
Hi Julie! Wow I am so impressed! You are doing the blog thing. I love to go on and catch up with the kids. Now I can catch up with you too.. It was fun to see you in Las Vegas. Next time we "must do lunch". Hey, I hope you had a fun birthday. I thought of it as soon as I clicked on your blog. Sorry to not tell you that on the day. But I sure hope it was happy and you got plenty of treats (and surprises)I am excited for the "kids" to experience Mesa. Life is just full of adventures....Love the pics of your safari, now that is an adventure! What a great experience. Hope to see you soon. Love, Donna J. (The other grandma)
Dave and I are having an interesting year traveling and spending time with family and friends while Dave is in-between jobs. His company was bought out last year, which opened up the opportunity for us to go to Frankfurt, Germany for three years while Dave works as an Area Legal Council for our church. He will be in charge of all legal work throughout Europe during that time, and I will be travel guide extraordinaire! We will be heading over there this summer. So Dave and I decided to take this year and do some things on our bucket lists. I'll show some pictures of some of our adventures on this blog, and carry it on to Europe for our adventures over there. My cute daughter-in-law Brooke offered to help me set our blog up while they are in town visiting, (I'm technically challenged) so we're putting it together now and will put a sampling of the trips Dave and I have been on to date, then soon it will be on to Europe! We thought it would be a good way to keep our friends and family up to date with our goings-on since we will be so far away. Hope you enjoy. We'll really miss you all, and hope you'll visit often.
